Two deliveries one day! Chengxi delivered two newbuildings one day.
On November 26th, Chengxi Shipyard delivered M.V. SHINE SAPPHIRE, a 82,000DWT bulk carrier to ICBC Leasing, and M.V. TAI FU, a 62,000DWT heavy-lift multi-purpose vessel to Bocom Financial Leasing.
Up to now, Chengxi has accomplished a record of twenty-one deliveries this year, exceeding the annual target by two ships.
Chengxi is dedicated to lean management and critical newbuilding technology, giving full play to the construction strength of building series vessels by improving construction efficiency. The commissioning period and critical path period of M.V. SHINE SAPPHIRE has been accelerated respectively by 17% and 11% compared with the first ship. The delivery M.V. SHINE SAPPHIRE was achieved three months ahead of contract schedule; The commissioning period and critical path period of M.V. TAI FU has been accelerated respectively by 17% and 13% compared with the first ship. The delivery M.V. TAI FU was achieved six months ahead of contract schedule.
M.V. SHINE SAPPHIRE, the second new building of 82,000DWT bulk carrier series built by Chengxi for ICBC Leasing, and the fourth generation of 82,000DWT Kamsarmax bulk carriers, has greatly updates her design standard as well as construction modeling index, featuring environment-friendly and excellent performance, larger cargo capacities, and better flexibility etc. The ship is 229M in LOA, 32.26M in moulded breadth, 20.35M in moulded depth, and 12.2 M in design draft, meeting the emission standard of TIER III, equipped with high pressure SCR system registered in BV Classification.
M.V. TAI FU, the sixth of the twelve 62,000DWT heavy-lift multi-purpose vessels built by Chengxi for BOCOM Financial Leasing, is 199.9M in LOA, 32.26M in moulded breadth, 19.30M in moulded depth, and 11.3M in design draft, with a service speed of 14.4knots, and registered in BV Classification. The box-type and open-hatch cargo hold, the largest of which is 40M in length, equipped with two sets of 150t cranes and two sets of 80t cranes, has great cargo capacity and flexibility of various cargos including heavy equipment, pulp, other solid bulk cargos and containers etc. She also meets the standard of Phase III EEDI, IMO requirements of TIER III and SOx requirements.
